  • Our commitment to help other breeders build their herds is a continuing priority. It has been said that “the unadulterated FULLBLOOD genetics of all breeds will be the most valuable resource in the coming years”. The truth of this statement is becoming more apparent as Modern Shorthorns continue “to go off the rails”. As the amount of semen available on the best old Heritage Shorthorn bulls is used up or lost through accident/neglect the reality is that we are all facing a new paradigm when using Heritage Shorthorn genetics where maximizing the production value of every amp/straw becomes the priority.

Whisper Royal Chief 10H
$30.00

A son of Meadowbrook Chieftain 9th

Royal Chief embodies all the characteristics that breeders seek in a true Heritage Dual Purpose bull. His sire, Meadowbrook Chieftain 9th, is a legend in the Shorthorn breed. Royal Chief’s dam had a picture perfect udder which is being carried through to Royal Chief daughters. His daughters have great milking ability with excellent maternal instinct. Their size, thickness, and structure incorporate all the characteristics that allow a breeder to produce family cows or locker beef. Royal Chief daughters are everything we want in a cow—we are so pleased with his daughters we continue to use him in our own herd as we are expecting 3 more daughters out of Royal Chief this spring. His mature weight is 2405#.

Shorthorn Bulls, Modern Australian

Kamilaroi Meat Packer
$200.00

Meat Packer was the high selling bull at the 2014 Dubbo (Australia) National Show and Sale. We have viewed this bull in the Outback in Australia, and he is the real deal. He maintains condition in severe drought type pasture with no supplementation, while breeding cows and walking long distances to find water everyday. We saw his dam at the Calrossy Angelton School in Australia. She was 16 ½ years of age at the time with an excellent heifer calf at her side. She still had a sound udder.

There are only 12 straws left in this offering. Minimum purchase = 2 straws.
